You have anticipated this amazing vacation, and you are just about to finally be there making those precious lifelong memories!
Here are 5 action items to put into place during the last week or so leading up to your vacation:
1) Mail: Arrange for your mail to be taken care of by a neighbor or call the post office.
2) House: Clean the house-you want to return to a clean house, trust me! Have the family all work on this together-get it done quickly with a Power Cleaning Hour!
3) Airport transportation: If you haven’t already, make arrangements for airport parking during your trip or your rides to/from the airport.
4) Bank: Get some $5 bills for tips for bell services (for example, if you leave your bags there for awhile on check-in day if the room isn't quite ready and you want to hit the pool or explore the resort). You might also utilize bell services on check-out day while you do some last dining or shopping before heading to the airport. Remember your housekeepers too (Mousekeepers at Disney)!
5) Ease your Return to Reality: Pre-plan for your first few days back: Look at your schedule for those days and do some planning now for simple meals. Stock up on essentials such as frozen items in case you don't get to the grocery store right after your trip. *Also, plan for some fun things for the first few weeks after your trip- coffee with a friend, movie night, etc. so that you can have some things to look forward to upon your return!
What is your favorite pre-travel tip for the last week or so leading up a trip?!
