Walking down Main Street with the scent of Magic in the air...is there anything better?!  Let me help get you into that moment and so many more, where your days are full of fun and memories to last a lifetime!  I love planning and will design an i...

One of the ways to help yourself wait for your much-anticipated Disney trip is to pack!  I love to pack starting at around 1 month before the trip!  I won’t pack everything at this point, but I will start to obtain items that are needed.  Does everyone have tennis shoes and waterproof sandals that fit?  How about shorts for the kids-have they outgrown their items from last summer?

Let’s dig into 5 types of clothing items you may want to have for your Disney trip!

1. Clothes to walk in: My husband loves to wear athletic shorts like a lightweight cargo short and a lightweight UnderArmour polo in a tech fabric. Long lightweight skirts work great to protect against sun, but don’t forget your slipshorts and make sure they are breathable (not hot or too compressive-I love Undersummers)!  For my teens, long bike shorts work great-making sure they aren’t too snug.  You want to aim for comfy!

2. Clothes with that special Disney touch: What fun to wake up at Disney and put on your special Disney shirt!  Etsy, Shop Disney, Amazon, Target- there are lots of places to find Disney clothing ahead of time.  We also tend to plan for buying a Disney shirt or two in the parks as well, or at the resort gift shop or World of Disney at Disney Springs.  Wearing these items at home after the trip can help the magic live on until the next trip!

3. Clothes to wear to the pool: The Florida sun is hot, so a tip here is to bring a swimshirt/rashguard.  Bring 2 swimsuits per person!  Of course you will bring lots of sunscreen as well!

4. Clothes for the rain: You will want ponchos for each family member.  It works great for each person to carry these in a lightweight backpack (especially love Loungefly backpacks)!  You can also find nice backpacks in the parks that have padded, thick straps (think a deluxe version of a string backpack).  Some people opt for an umbrella instead- however, this can add weight to your backpack and you need to remember to take it out and hold it in front of you when going through security.

5. Footwear: We can’t end this post without remembering the ever-important footwear!  A good rule of thumb is to have 1 pair of tennis shoes (not brand new but broken in a little with some life left in them) and 1 pair of waterproof sandals per person.
